Ad:Tech Sydney details revealed

Not sure how new these are but it's the first I've seen of them ...

Ad:Tech Sydney (our local version of the international events) takes place March 12 & 13.

Keynote speakers are so-so in my opinion - definitely not up to the level of the international events (where it is not uncommon to have 10-20 global heavyweights speaking about all facets of digital) but still some good local representation.

Only gripe is a lack of Melbourne speakers and a severe lack of client side speakers (especially leading clients in the digital space).

Pricing is $1599 for a 2 day pass. Tickets available on the website.

Tim Pethick? Looksmart experience would be worth hearing about, but the blurb sounds like he's going to talk about the ambiguous-sounding "innovation"... not sure that's what a sophomore event needs where [at least based on reported observations from last year - I wasn't personally ni attenedance] most attendees are from digital agenicies, and as an Australian industry we're trying to come to grips with many of the "staples" of digital still...

Yeah it's a bit of a shame we can't seem to progress beyond 'digital 101' at these things. Maybe the digital industry isn't the audience?

It always sounds to me that is who turns up (ie the digital industry). Would be interesting to see the actual attendee figures split by industry from last year's ad-tech because you could be right Shepherd.

Ad-Tech is an industry supply chain event and so not a bad effort in getting most people a seat at the table.

And wouldn't be too many people these days who could play this kind of audience from left-field. Like when Seth Godin did a videocast into Consult's Ad-Forum around 2000.
